About
I advise law firms and professionals who are ambitious but need a more strategic focus on their business development.
In 2020, following a long career inside law firms, I established The Legal Linchpin, to provide legal marketing and business development consultancy to independent law firms in the UK and across the world.
Having held senior marketing and BD position in UK and international law firms, I have established departments, implemented new processes and changed the business development culture. My remit has included the full marketing mix including developing websites, leading full rebrands, introducing social media strategy, coaching fee earners, overseeing legal directory submissions, and running event programmes.
My interest in cultivating growth started back in the 1990’s, during the early days of the internet, when I was MD of a website development agency. We were one of the first agencies in the UK to build websites and advise on internet strategy for some of the UK’s best-known brands. Having navigated the agency through substantial growth, I sold the business, not once but twice!
In 2002, I crossed into the legal sector and since then, I have applied my knowledge in marketing and business management to help law firms to expand their client bases and build their reputations.
Today, I am well placed to understand the challenges law firms face to keep themselves relevant, now more than ever, and enjoy working with organisations eager to introduce new technology and make the cultural shifts needed to stay ahead.
